Decart's team would join Anthropic's inference unit, bringing real time video and simulation tools as the Claude maker races to scale before its expected IPO.
Anthropic is in early talks to acquire Nvidia-backed Decart for about $6 billion, its largest known acquisition, ahead of a hotly anticipated IPO. The talks, first reported by Bloomberg on Wednesday and confirmed by Reuters via DealStreetAsia, are in early stages and could still fall through. An Anthropic spokesperson declined to comment; Decart did not respond outside business hours.
If completed, Decart's team would join Anthropic's inference and performance organization, the group that runs Claude in production to answer user requests. Decart builds inference optimization tooling alongside its own AI models, including the Lucy model for real-time video editing and the Oasis system, which generates simulated environments used to train and test robotics and autonomous-driving systems (TechCrunch, June 2026).
The price tag lands in the weeks before Anthropic is expected to file for a public-market debut. Decart raised $300 million in May in a round led by Radical Ventures, with Nvidia joining as a new investor. A roughly $6 billion exit for a startup that raised $300 million three months ago would mark one of the steepest late-stage premia of the cycle.
The figure, the integration plan, and the closing date all remain attributed to people familiar with the matter. Neither company has confirmed terms.
